Une région et ses transports collectifs : la région Centre

Résumé : The french region « Centre » has a very heterogeneous peopling : a dense track (the ligerian axis) crosses low-density areas punctuated with a few medium-size cities. The major communication axisdon 't coincide very well with this situation. Most of the well-equipped directions are set toward Paris, which is not far from the region; they cross it according to the well-known scheme of the « spider-web » of railways. The 1986' agreement between French Railways and the region, signed nine years after atoo ambitious Regional Transportation Scheme, gave initiative to the Regional council, but there has been no important changes as late as September 1990. The opening of the « TGV- Atlantique » line modified the regional policy ; some investments have been made. A set of lines becomes (nearly) a network...
