A critique of the notion of critical infrastructure

The notion of "critical infrastructure" is a rather new one, both for academics and practionners. This article examine how and why it has been more and more used worldwide, since the series of terrorist attacks in the 2000s, both in the United States and in Europe.
La notion de "critical infrastructure" est, à la fois aux plans scientifique et opérationnel, relativement récente. Cet article examine sa diffusion dans la littérature scientifique internationale, et ses liens avec les actes terroristes des années 2000.
